It’s actually much more popular than I had ever known before we bought this property several years ago.  Like many other vacationers, the thought of renting a private house had never occurred to us.  It is much more common to rent a hotel room and in fact, the hotels do a much better job marketing their properties than Aspen house rentals, private home owners.  Since the advent of the Internet, that has all changed and really leveled the playing field now.

It typically rents for $1,000 to $1,500 per night ( not including Holidays )
